When I ignore someone I don't see their posts, but they are still free to make them.

When I mute someone, why don't they retain the ability to comment in all posts, but I simply just won't see their comment.

I don't think that's the best analogy, but I'm trying to teach myself things right now so not entirely focused.

What is the difference between ignore and mute, in that case?

Personally, I wish it was hush / ignore comments / ignore posts, and no mute "feature" at all.

Ignore: You wouldn't see their posts, but would see their comments.

Mute: You wouldn't see their comments, but would see their posts.

At that point mute would function as an "ignore comments" function.

Ah ok.

That's pretty much in line with how I wished things worked.
