Personally, I don't know what to think. People get offended about all sorts of stupid shit. I think the tone of the article is fairly apparent. Speaks more of Johanna Cox's ignorance and narrow mindedness of the fashion world than anything else, which usually has some pretty fucked up shit.

Well, she is someone I know and I can tell you that she is quite knowledgeable when it comes to the fashion world.

That said, it could be considered ethnocentrism to expect that other cultures will know what does and does not come across as taboo in your culture. However, we are talking about global brands here and therefore to expect that they are culturally sensitive beyond their own borders is not unrealistic.
