I've never considered it consciously before today, but a hubski '#' is vastly different than a subreddit. A '#' forms individually represented discussion, while a subreddit usually develops an opinion.

Good point. /r/fitness is ridiculed for completely ignoring cardio exercises because they hurts their gainz. They are honest about it, at least.
