They're not going to go without a thorough drubbing unless they have the heft of a reasonable number of climate scientists on their side. A bunch of kids filing a lawsuit is a prime target for mocking, as much as they are absolutely right. They're kids. They have virtually zero de facto credibility at the national scale. If I was a climate scientist, I would sign myself up and encourage my colleagues to sign up to make a show of force that this is legitimate, this is reasonable, and this is credible, and that these children have the backing of experts.
