On that note - are you much of a tea person, lil, and subsequently, do you have a favorite? A girl I know asked me to go with her to a tea place later this afternoon, and I admittedly know nothing about the beverage. I'd be grateful if you could give me the tea equivalent to the chocolate shake - something that anyone would probably enjoy, haha.

See if you can get a coffee.

But if you absolutely must pay too much for the tea experience, order a peppermint tea, stir a teaspoon of honey into it and pretend it's mead.

Order toast and quote T. S. Eliot:

Time for you and time for me,

And time yet for a hundred indecisions,

And for a hundred visions and revisions,

Before the taking of a toast and tea.

Flawless. I'll memorize that.

How did your tea date go?

She didn't even show up, haha. Unfortunately, what you mentioned wasn't there, so I grabbed "mint chai tea" as a funny novelty, because "chai" is just our Arabic word for tea. Nevertheless it was pretty good, and the shop was nice, so I may go there to study from now on.

I hate being stood up. Is there no electronic media that you could have used to remind the teadate?

I just had some peppermint tea and honey for my sore throat. (Should've added rum.)

Haha, t'was used but not reciprocated by her. No worries! I went again, purposefully on my own this time, and it was more enjoyable with that intent. Unfortunately I wasn't courageous enough to try something new, but perhaps next time.

Gah. That's annoying. I have bailed / pussied out / been too hungover / gotten a better offer and not met up but I always texted and typically pick up the phone and call. I usually feel that nagging regret about bailing later, but I would really hate myself if I ignored the person to avoid the situation. Shameful.

If they have Pu'er tea you should try it. It is a fermented tea:

It is unlike any tea you have probably ever tasted, and quite good. If this isn't a Chinese tea house they probably don't have it though.
