It would be appalling if he were actually charged with something. Freedom of the Press depends upon the ability for journalists to publish things that the government is uncomfortable with. If that was a criminalized, then transparency would be all but dead.

My guess is that they leave him alone.

I can't think of a single thing he could be charged with. Even treason doesn't apply like it (could) to Snowden.

well, they could make like Russia and create something to charge him with. One of the people arrested in Sochi was arrested for "Swearing at a Bus Stop".
