This one is courtesy of my roommate and DSR Co-founder Joe. While this talks specifically about our city, it applies to every city. I'm interested to hear if you all agree with these points and/or have any personal experiences that could expound upon them.
- Hi, my name is Joe and I occasionally promote concerts in and around the metro of Rochester, New York. Please allow me to be the first to tell you that I am inexperienced. After a few years in the non-comm radio industry and six months running a tiny musical collective I’ve been responsible for maybe a dozen shows. Tops. Also, I’m in my early twenties and have absolutely no memories of the various scenes of the early ’00s, ’90s, or late ’80s that all of my older colleagues tell me about.
