I love this entire album. One of the rare ones that can be played start to finish in track order and it sounds amazing and makes sense. It just flow.
Anyone familiar with Cave and the Bad Seeds would notice how mellow this album is, reminiscent of the Boatman's Call in a way, -but more textural and moody (HBB is one of the rockingest songs on the album, if not the most). The album is more poetry than anything he's ever done imo. Anyway, not the sort of album you crank, yet when I saw him perform it live earlier in the year, it was like being in the center of an earthquake. Amazing.
I've got tickets to see him again in a few months. Not sure if he's got another album hes releasing, but I'm sort of hoping this is just the tail end of his Push the Sky Away tour, because I'd love to see the same live show again almost a year later, having listened to the album in between (I hadn't really heard the album yet when I saw the live show kicking it off earlier).
This official video is a different version of the song than on the LP release it seems btw.
