I don't watch the NBA anymore but I used to a lot when I was a kid. Growing up in Detroit, the Bad Boys were the bomb. I was always impressed with the rebounding skills of Dennis Rodman. I wonder how the players like The Worm would stack up against modern players?

It's an interesting question; Rodman was, without a doubt, one of the greatest rebounders ever. Have you read this: http://skepticalsports.com/?page_id=1222? It's a long series on the excellence of Rodman. The short version is that his rebounding ability is more of a statistical aberation than Jordan's scoring. I have a feeling he would be just as dominant in today's game, especially since that was his primary focus.

Thank you for the link, I see it's broken in to 4 parts, I'll check out the first part tonight. I like the approach that your pieces seem to take, incorporating data and letting the numbers tell the story instead of the reverse. Cool stuff.

You ever write about Hockey/Baseball?

I didn't write the Rodman piece, that was a guy called Benjamin Morris. I aim to do similar things though.

Unfortunately, I don't. The NBA is my true love haha. I occasionally read Hockey analysis because I know there's a lot of good stuff being done there, but I don't know much about the game.
