I have never been a big fan of any social network website. As cgod pointed out, you can't really engage in a coversation with friends on there. If I really want to talk to my friend, I either skype them or email them. It often feels awkard when somebody I don't know well send a friend request to me. If I don't accept it, they might take it personally. But I don't want to accept it to have a semi-stranger to know some of my private life. That's why I pretty much remain dormant on FB.

Here is a funny story. One of my coworkers didn't show up at work one day, nobody could get hold of him. One guy at work thought about logging onto FB, and happened to find him there, he then informed him on FB that he was suppose to come to work that day. I guess FB can be useful to getting hold of those FB dwellers.

It's also funny to see how often people you work with are on FB during work hours. Some people spend a lot of time on there.
