Ahoy-hoy! I'm from Sydney but I live in San Francisco now. I've never really found fault in my homeland (at least no more than in any other country), but America is a horse of a different colour. The sheer number of crazy people here is exhilarating. If it can happen, it will happen in America. It's also true that if you're a little bit unusual, you get much better treatment if you're also a foreigner. In Australia if you're different you'll get mocked for it, and in America if you're different you're liable to get lynched, but if you're an Australian in America then people say, "Oh he's allowed to be strange, he's English." I do kind of miss the good-natured mockery and irreverence though. America is slowly eroding my sense of irony.

You are obviously surrounding yourself with the wrong americans.
Are you going to be in on the Blood Meridian reading for the #hubskibookclub?is there any question to which the answer isn't spending more time on Hubski?
-There are times when I feel that spending more time here would be next to impossible :)
We should be starting any day now. 11 days ago Meriadoc said we'd have a week/half to get the book and then we'd start. My book is set to arrive tomorrow and I plan on diving in this weekend. -I'm really looking forward to it.
Hmmm... does Conan know of you Banjolele skills? My guess is that Max Weinberg couldn't resist the opportunity to collaborate with you there.
