It's only tangentially related but about a month ago I was watched a few old Ali fights. The are mostly pretty interesting fights but one stood out, it's a magnificent fight but the quality of the video has a strangeness to it that I find very appealing, almost hypnotic. It has a faded feeling that came right to mind as read this piece.
