Wow, I'm not even in Gen Y but this article makes me feel sorry for them. The author decides that a racist term is a suitable moniker for his straw people. This is not acceptable. Seeing the racist term over and over as subject headers ("Gypsys Are Taunted", "GYPSYs Are Delusional") only compounds the author's privilege. What made me realize this was not worth my time was this condition of membership for his straw people: Dismissing ANYONE for going to a therapist is shameful. It does not matter whether you think a person's neurosis is frivolous because the person seeking help wants to get to seeing it as frivolous as well. The big point about this article, outside the blinding white privilege and name calling, is this idea that tossing the blame on a generation solves anything. What's the goal after tossing a bunch of horrible attributes at a group? Do you think you're appealing to the future cyborg overlords for clemency by saying you're not precious? I just don't see why this warranted anyone's attention, except to feel better about not being on the author's scheisse list.
