Donald Trump, and arguably a large segment of his supporters, don't give a flying fuck that there's no evidence to support his claim. In this institutional landscape, the only thing that will imperil Trump is him losing his "popular" appeal, gained through bullying and strongman signaling. It's all posturing from here on out. There is quite literally no cost to Trump tweeting this. That said, I appreciate giving this article my meager page views.
