I'm surprised no one has mentioned Mark Twain yet. For a list of historical figures that would be cool to have at a party, he needs to be somewhere near the top, right? Not too sure who else would populate my list, but probably my great-grandad, "pawpaw". It's interesting to see how many people have said something like that.
