We'll see. It's being bantered about pretty fervently right now. One thing they are really good at is keeping a word, phrase or concept in circulation by quasi-denying it. "I'm not sure that I'd call them death panels, that may be too much but government mandated conversations with a panel...." -This way the phrase stays in the popular consciousness. We'll see if they take this route with "class warfare".

I don't know, if you're grandma recalls things like the "race riots" of the sixties or.... the recent riots in London etc, she may feel that it could reach her front door. It's a well thought out phrase designed to fear based on past/current events imo.
