I know nothing about CBD or your patient, so I won't pretend to know if what I'm about to say applies to the situation at all. But don't justify a placebo just because it works.
The plural of anecdote is not data. AND The more you experience the depths of human suffering the more you value placebo, if indeed that's all it is. Without definitive biochemical studies and double blind testing we can't make definitive statements. Human Experience however is able to provide some people with information that leads to a reduction in their suffering and that's good enough for me.
