I've only seen one episode so far, and it's been great. I know his historiography isn't the greatest, but as background and a starting point, it's superb. A lot more interviews than previous ones I've seen, which makes sense given that it's recent enough that there are more veterans still alive. And it's not just Americans; the first episode had plenty of interviews with Vietnamese vets from both sides.
As I said in my title, it's free to stream from PBS's website, at least in the US. My link is to the "explicit" (i.e. not edited for TV) version, but there's a broadcast-friendly one too.
Bonus: the soundtrack is by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
