I am also a new father (6 month old baby girl) and have to say that I don't really think I feel the way this guy does about new fatherhood except day dreaming about what the future will hold.
It's an amazing experience, if everything ramps up at 9 months rather than the steady climb I've experienced so far I'll be surprised.

cgod, I had a steady progression too but at 7 mo, she started crawling and it's been a very quick process since. She says "dog" now! She "cruises" around the house. Her dexterity increases in large and noticeable ways -almost daily. She eats solids. Big changes-fast. It keeps getting more fun.
