I really enjoyed this link. I have an 8 month old daughter -and my wife's name is Joanna :)
Reading through this made me realize how unique each situation is. I bonded immediately with my daughter and though I agree that the bond grows stronger and stronger, the connection was indisputably strong at once. I've actually just started working on a book for fathers as I found there wasn't much available for us fella's from our perspective.

I am also a new father (6 month old baby girl) and have to say that I don't really think I feel the way this guy does about new fatherhood except day dreaming about what the future will hold.
It's an amazing experience, if everything ramps up at 9 months rather than the steady climb I've experienced so far I'll be surprised.

cgod, I had a steady progression too but at 7 mo, she started crawling and it's been a very quick process since. She says "dog" now! She "cruises" around the house. Her dexterity increases in large and noticeable ways -almost daily. She eats solids. Big changes-fast. It keeps getting more fun.
