Wow. Forgot about this.
Haha, who needs a Particle Accelerator when you have a Lil? I noticed a "Donations 0$" on my account and went to the first account I saw that was likely to have donated to see if it was on everyone's profile, then I remembered reading that it was only visible to the owner. Speaking of Particle Accelerators, one of my friends is off to see the LHC at CERN pretty soon.
Did you see the movie, Particle Fever: The Hunt for the Higgs Boson -- It was a lot of fun http://particlefever.com/#watch I have to admit, I get a little OC about Higgsy.
You know what? -it really is amazing how much content is on the site. I always find it interesting when people find us, they automatically assume that when they found us is when we began. It's such a childish thing. When you are a kid, everybody you meet has no history, kids assume your existence started when they met you. The Internet is kind of like that too. Recently, I had a conversation with mk that I posted as a podcast. One of the greatest takeaways from that conversation, for me is the idea that you never know the baggage someone as caring. They have likely lived a lot of life before meeting you. Empathy, pass it on. Anyways, I'm glad you dug the song. That Higgs Boson song is one of my favorites. End ramble.
That's a really good observation, I forgot kids do that. I think that might be a bit down to the context people hear about us from, contexts like "reddit is dying!!!, here is a list of(mostly pretty new) replacements" and there's also the fact that you need to know people before you care about them, since a large percentage of Hubski's appeal is the people. By the way, I would not have known about the Upbeat Science Song without the "Previous posts" feature. I could be missing out on a lot since I can't see future posts without scrolling 15k days back into your post history, it would be a nice to view someone's post history, but centered around a certain post, if you know what I mean. Maybe a "Future posts" would be nice too, though that might make things a bit cramped at the bottom.
I like that idea. mk, insomniasexx -consider caelum19's suggestion.
