More fun facts: -I was inspired to post this because the a cappella version was part of this audio challenge that ButterflyEffect posted: -I didn't listen to the version I posted and assumed it was the original. My bad.
My wife is a big fan of the original and as such I have heard it often these past 10 years. The remix is new to me, though I dig it. As for Star Wars, I couldn't agree more. FOR NOW. JJ may change this dynamic. It could happen.
Growing up, my dad would play this occasionally and I would pretend to like it. I didn't though and really, I still don't. Not to be negative, I just have never found the appeal. In a similar vein, I can't stand Garrison Keillor. I know, I'm the odd one out on this.
naw man. I really don't get it either. The biggest reason I posted it was 1.) diner vs. restaurant, and 2.) he was touring this album this year. He only does it every 10 years - apparently he doesn't like it that much either.
I find the Lake Wobegon Effect fascinating, but I think the show's kinda meh. Stuart MacLean of "Vinyl Cafe" on CBC is a way better storyteller and writer IMO. I've always been told one of the marks of great storytelling is that you can't tell whether to laugh or cry.
