Despite looming over Ticketmaster 10 minutes before noon sharp when tix came out today, within a minute GA got sold out at $60 and I missed it in the waiting line. I can buy a resold/bot-purchased one for $150 (I know it's a legit ticket).
BUT
I CANT DECIDE IF ITS WORTH IT.
NO, Jack White is great and all but unless you get there several hours early and I'm saying well before the doors open your going to be stuck in a crowd of people on your toes trying to watch one person. So in my opinion, no you should never spend that type of money on a concert unless john lennon rose from the dead and played at a small venue in Brooklyn.
I think the bigger issue here is how the ticket scalpers are fucking the individual fan over with robots that buy huge swaths of tickets before you can even put in your credit card number.
YUP. Then, reselling them for far more than double, in bulks of 10 on StubHub. FUNNY HOW THE TICKETMASTER PURCHASE LIMIT IS 4 TICKETS. My friend bought two of the JWhite re-sold tickets in question. On top of that, Vividseats charged a $73 service charge. Holy fucking dickshits.
I completely agree with you in terms of his music. Not a White Stripes or Jack White fan in general, and definitely not for that kind money. Pabs, the only time I paid $150 for a ticket was to see Paul McCartney play Yankee Stadium.
I just want to see him get upset about something and stop the show.
I paid $100 for the arctic monkeys at MSG it was awesome cause I loved them at the time. Jack as a person really turned me off from his music recently anyway.. I think it's a no-go then.
Yeah he's a total douche. I always say if I ever met Jack White I'd shake his hand, then tell him to go fuck himself.
If you though Jack White was a douche from the beginning, then why even consider spending extra for him? I mean sure he can have solid music but if he is turning you off to the music, then don't even consider it. Without the joy of music, what else is there at a concert?
