He doesn't say that he is going to actually do this. My guess is that he's got bigger fish to fry. Do you see a market for a product like this? It's not something I would ever pay a lot of money for, but I suppose some would.
Maybe not on a commercial scale, but at least with the one he bought by the sounds of it. Maybe it's all some part of a bigger plan to do with his HyperLoop train project? International underwater ultra fast train travel!"I was disappointed to learn that it can't actually transform. What I'm going to do is upgrade it with a Tesla electric powertrain and try to make it transform for real"
fair enough, I guess I was thinking more of something available to the public. You are definitely right though, it sounds like he's going to make it happen for at least himself.
As fun as it would be, seeing as there are more than enough issues with people driving on a flat plane with varying weather conditions, I can only hope the licensing and regulation is tightly administered. Otherwise it won't be long before some knob drives into the Great Barrier Reef.
It's a fun show, but I'm skeptical of some of their builds. That hovercraft they built out of a van, in another episode, did not appear to behave like a hovercraft at all. And I can't imagine how the Reliant-Robin rocket could have flown even if it had separated from the booster rocket.
Oh, it's a fun show for sure, and I am certain there's some creative licence attached to embellish some (if not most/all) of their creations but, it's the mad-cap nature of it I love, I'll take my science and physics lessons from elsewhere! Now you've reminded me to rewatch the other Reliant Robin clip
