I'm not too sure, but from their leaflet I get the impression that there isn't much, unless you work/study/visit there:

As an e-resident you can use and enjoy the same great digital services that allow Estonians to do anything and everything digitally–sign all documents, launch and manage companies, do the banking, encrypt files, etc. For a closer look on how the digital way of life goes in Estonia: http://e-estonia.com/. It is especially useful for entrepreneurs and others who already have some relationship to Estonia: who do business, work, study or visit here but have not become a resident. However, e-residency is also launched as a platform to offer digital services to a global audience with no prior Estonian affiliation – for anybody who wants to run their business and life in the most convenient aka digital way!

This just seems like a move to simplify some bureaucracy (ex: allowing people to do things like signing signatures online as opposed to in person).

Of course all of this depends on the definition of "thoughtful". I'm not sure what anybody can really expect from an open website accessible to nonexperts. If somebody is serious about a particular subject, be it middle eastern politics, astrophysics, art, whatever, there are numerous places they can go such as printed/online literature where the discussions will dwarf anything that you find on popular online mediums. What I suspect people are generally interested in when they come to a place like this is being able to have a civil discussion about something that they aren't an expert in and being able to read interesting opinions and such. Nothing too serious. Whether hubski is right for that, well, I only joined yesterday so I guess I'll have to find out.
