THIS ACCOUNT FOR SALE

Using this account only because if you're going to air dirty laundry, at least air the boilerplate.

mk - I thought the whole point of shout-outs while muted was to "invite the vampire in." When did that change?

So. This account is like 70 days old or something and exists solely so for testing something we created solely for the purposes of aiding new users.

However, if you check my feed you will see that it has content and articles and stuff in it, all of which it gained in the past three minutes.

The first thing I did was click on "badges" in the upper right. I then saw a post by insomniasexx that appealed to me, so I clicked her name. I then had the option to follow her. I looked at some of the other stuff she posted, and clicked on one of the tags she used. This led me to an interesting article by @butterflyeffect@, so I also clicked on his name and followed him. I then looked over the stuff he posts and clicked on one of his tags, which I am now following. As a result, in the space of five minutes I'm following two users and three tags: #space, #goodlongread and #relationships.

Note that these are self-evident tags; they present no surprises, unlike #writebetterdammit. Note that I needed to only click on "badges" once in order to get a heapin' helpin' of high-quality content, and from there it was like pearl-diving Wikipedia.

Good luck and god speed.

Don't worry too much about the 1password thing. I think there was some re-jiggering that screwed some stuff up globally; I deleted the login and re-added it and it's behaving now.

CURSES! FOILED AGAIN!

Not sure if this is even something you care about, but your login page kinda confuses 1password. The box you guys have designated as "username" is actually "email" which means rather than going ZIPPIDYBAM with my lazykeys I have to copy-paste. That's why we're now in a fight.

I get legit throwaway hate-comments from time to time. That's the internet. It happens. I even occasionally wish I could reply in discussions where I'm muted - that's the point. I've got a sock ready-made if I wanted to use it; not the point. That's one of the best things about this place: the social engineering functions in such a way that it encourages human discourse.

'k. So what I learned is that:

A) The tutorial works really well. As in, it's really slick. Mad props on that.

B) The site design clearly shows an interest in clean, minimalist programming that rewards paying attention.

C) The markup should be WYSIWYG - "bolded" should read "bolded", "italicized" should read "italicized" etc.

D) Fuck yeah. Blank page. I've been asking for that on Reddit instead of /r/here's a bunch of shit you should read because that's what everybody else does.

E) I really should stop ignoring minimum_wage. His "about me" image is fucking hilarious.

F) The second-least heinous layout is "ugly." Fer real, guys - why do you hate contrast so much?

All in all, I have no meaningless criticism. The fact that my "settings" page allows me to talk about myself but doesn't demand I do so seems pretty much perfect.
