I have read through the Jefferson Bible before but this online version gives the ability to see what it is he "cut". It's amazing to me that the far right (not so far these days) lays a blanket claim on all the founders as devout christians. -Many of them were not "Christians" in the way we perceive them today, like Jefferson, they Deists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism I have wrestled my whole life with the fact that I absolutely admire the teachings of Christ and at the same time can't stand the Church. The Jefferson Bible was a great find for me. If you haven't read it before, take a moment to do so. It eliminates miracles or claims to divinity.
As an aside: as a gift of initiation to incoming freshman in Congress they all receive a copy of the Jefferson Bible. -How ironic is this in our current hyper-christian political culture.
