Nothing one social democrat does will make a lasting or significant change, especially in the American political system, which is heavily rigged against those who don't toe the two-party line. I'll be voting for him come 2016, but I can't say I'm optimistic about how things'll turn out. It'd probably be better for him to stay in the Senate, anyway.
People are saying the same thing about Elizabeth Warren. I understand the argument but in my heart I want to see one of them give it a shot.
I agree that we need a radical solution; which is why we must stay true to emancipatory politics, at the moment I think we've lost it...
