So I think it's important to point out its factual inaccuracy. More importantly, I think it's fine for him to say it, but also fine for me to point out he's mostly wrong on all accounts. I wouldn't be so quick to discount performances like this as perpetuating these myths. As some of them he got from entertainers himself.
