It's interesting, but MOOCs are a bad thing because they put teachers out of work? Yet aren't MOOCs the most efficient way of teaching those without access to computers? I don't agree with the article at all, but I do think that it's an interesting viewpoint, and thus worth sharing it. EDIT: *without access to education
Huh? Computers are necessary for MOOC. I don't understand. MOOCs put teachers out of work because or current educational institutions are promoting them as replacements for traditional classrooms, not as supplements. The prospect of having an unlimited number of students per instructor while simultaneously eliminating the dead capital of buildings and labs is very attractive from a business standpoint.Yet aren't MOOCs the most efficient way of teaching those without access to computers?
Whoops, meant access to teachers. Big mess-up. And anyway, your point still stands regardless of what my original intention was. I understand now, replacement versus supplement. I think I agree with you there. P.S. You have interesting thoughts, ever thought of writing a blog?
Suit yourself, but I think that posts that organize other people's original thoughts have a place too. Write an essay on why you think syndicalism is the proper way to go, for instance, even if you don't think it's original thought, because it's still valuable for if the previous essays were not as well elucidated. Give it some thought, I would love reading posts from you.
