I'm sure I'm late to be asking this question, but how is Apple handling the passing of Jobs? I don't own any Apple products, and don't follow "Mac culture" so I'm generally ignorant about the subject. I had never realized how much influence Jobs had on every little detail of absolutely everything Apple. Had he been a hugely influential figure for long enough that there are others now that can match his passion, or will the brand lose direction and be assimilated back into the standard consumer electronics market?

Also, the way he became upset over the ugly oxygen monitor while in the hospital is absolutely insane.

I don't see good things in the future. I just don't. They need a design dictator that loves technology. Personally, I think they should get Jack Dorsey from Twitter and Square. I think he gets it.

I don't think Jack Dorsey is better than Jonathan Ive...

He is the leading designer and conceptual mind behind the iMac, titanium and aluminum PowerBook G4, G4 Cube, MacBook, unibody MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPod, iPhone, and iPad.

Maybe, but it could be a detriment making him CEO. He might be most effective applying his skill, while he has a CEO that gets the vision and makes sure he can enact it. I doubt Steve Jobs was as much a good designer as he was someone that recognized and valued good design.
