Whoever named "bambiraptor"...

EDIT: every once in a while when I look at pictures of dinosaurs my mind just snaps. I can't comprehend that these giant reptiles, the pinnacle of reptilian existence on Earth, are a) so completely gone, and b) ever existed at all. The scope just baffles me. What would it have been like to confront Euoplocephalus tutus? It's like ... imagining living in a video game's terrarium, or something. Even spending all your time in the veldt wouldn't come close to the experience.

EDIT2: what the hell

Haha ya - size and scale is definitely mind bending. In fact, sometimes thinking about the size of ultrasaurus or a blue whale is harder for me to comprehend than the size of Jupiter or our Sun. I remember as a kid, I always freaked myself out in the deep end by imagining what it would be like to swim next to a blue whale.

what it would be like to swim next to a blue whale.

It would be such an amazing experience that I would subsequently be content to retire to the countryside and die, as a matter of fact.

I really like animals.

Honestly, I think if I was swimming next to a blue whale I would have a heart attack.

Sheer terror and sheer elation are two sides of a coin. I think it would be worth it.

At the risk of ruining your childhood, dinosaurs are birds, and this is what they looked like.
