I believe this was the older password hashing scheme used in XP and before. So this isn't really big news. The newer ones, even this machine would take years to crack. If you're still using windows XP, you deserve to be hacked. It was a great OS for the time, but that was 10 years ago.

I still have XP on all my older computers at home. I think rozap is talking more about businesses, people with sensitive information, etc. At home use is much different than businesses use. Any modern day company with confidential information, servers, etc should be upgraded by now.
