This reminds me of the Netherlands. We never want to be late either and being late is really really bad. Seems we have more in common with the Germans than I thought. Better be 15 minutes early than 5 minutes late.Germans abhor lateness and even if they should say things like “Make no worries for yourself. We understand it iz possible, due to unforeseeable miscalculation of estimates, to sometimes late be,” they find the idea of tardiness disgustingly decadent and perverse.

The Dutch only hate the Germans because of the lost football match in 1974, costing us the world title. I am no fan of the sport, so I don't really care :P And no, it really has nothing to do with a certain war around 1939-1945.
