I really like the idea of a language constructed to be as easy to learn as possible, but it's possible their moment has passed, now that English is so well established as a global lingua franca. Then again, maybe such languages will get a second chance to establish themselves now that it looks like we're headed towards a multipolar world again. Also maybe the EU should adopt Esperanto as an official language, now that the UK are pulling out of the union.
