Across the street from the house is a tree in a field. That field is mostly grass, weeds, lawn and whatever used to dot the landscape before we changed it. On the north side of that tree is a plant about knee-high. On that plant? Flowers. FUCKING FLOWERS. IN GOD DAMNED MOTHER FUCKING FEBRUARY. It was 80F Friday. It was 35F as a high out here on Saturday. We are about 8" short of winter average snowfall, the big grain fields are all turning spring green, trees are budding and I, being the fucking idiot I am, got into a climate change debate this weekend when all I wanted was gas and a pack of gum.
