Several are offering to help U.S. scientists back up their data, and urging them to make their case to the public about the importance of their research—and of factual evidence itself.
I'm still a cowardly lurker, but in an ideal world where I had the technical or political know-how, I picture myself mirroring data across university and private servers.
Then again, in an ideal world we wouldn't have this problem...
