Blender tutorial on camera targeting and following objects, through the use of simple and effective tracking and parenting constraints.
Today, in this tutorial, I am going to teach you how to make the camera follow or target any object you want. With this technique, you will be able to set the camera in first or third person, or use it as a standard moving camera.
I am also going to show you how to set up the camera, so you can switch from one target to the other with a simple animated parenting constraint. The camera will be able to switch targets on the fly very easily without the need of manual positioning.
With multiple of these cameras in one scene, you could get a more precise control over the perpective of the final render. Also, the target of the camera can be used as a focus point for depth of field effects.
I hope it helps you.
Keep animating! :)
