It holds up relatively well actually. It's funny, cause it's actually a much more difficult game than I remember. That, or I've lost my edge. It's one of those games where no matter what race you play, you have to rely heavily on tech tree development if you want to do well. All other racial modifiers are really secondary, whether they involve manufacturing, resistance to harsh environments, etc.
