This morning, Andrew Moss became the latest scalp after stepping down from the helm of insurance company Aviva just days after a pay revolt.
Mr Moss, who ironically in 2009 survived a scandal about his romantic liaisons, is the latest target of the investor activism sparked by increasing anger over the disconnect between pay and corporate performance.

The argument is always about competitive pay and talent. I am sure many of these people are talented, but there are very many talented people in the world. Also, as an investor or employee, I would hope that money wasn't what most motivated a new CEO to take the position. The market, the company, and the challenges, should be the most important factors.
