If you've listened to pop radio in the past few years, you probably already are and don't know it. Her ear-worms are so pervasive and catchy and still are getting a lot of air time, it helps too that her persona is so accessible and genuine-feeling, I'm definitely a fan after being subjected to endless replays from my wife!
This video is what finally tipped me over to being a supporter of her: Also, as she's getting older, she's getting that.... don't know how to call it, it's not snarky or pretentious, but a certain wit, wisdom and non-pretension I like in people. I'm pretty sure the word you're looking for is maturity. I've never been a huge fan of her music or of celebrity worship, but as the article pointed out she's got a way of going viral and every time she does, it's in a positive light and every time it seems less like a child and more like a role model.
