Get up at 4AM, shower, dress, breakfast, coffee, wake up at the computer, brush teeth, pack lunch, leave house at 5:30, get to work around 6-6:15, do puzzles from a puzzle book in my car or read a book I've brought until 6:30, work in an office till around 2, head home, get home around 2:45. Then I either decompress and relax at the computer, or I work on a personal project (I have a game development blog and I'm also working on a small team on another game), dinner, relax at computer until bedtime, brush teeth, sleep, repeat x5. Worst part of the day: commute. Best part of the day(week): making a blog post where I feel like I've gotten a lot accomplished. Also, any moment with my cat on my lap is a good moment.
4am is really early. :( What kind of work do you do where you work from 6:30ish to 2? Did you choose those hours? What time do you get to sleep?
Yeah, I got to choose those hours. Normal working hours is like 8:30 to 4:30 or 5, but I was allowed to come in earlier and leave earlier to avoid rush hour. If I sat through rush hour ("hour"), my commute would double from 40 mins to 1 hr 20 mins (each way). The place I work is very lenient and great about that. So I actually prefer the schedule I have. I typically try to go to sleep between 8 & 9, though some nights I can't sleep until 10 or 11 (the following mornings suck).
