That said, I don't agree that everything is going to collapse because of "fast fashion." I don't agree we can't shop ourselves into a better world. Yes, the era of the boycott is over. But now, being good and feeling good is in. We aren't demanding better conditions. Instead, it's becoming trendy to look like a good person, and we will happily pay for that image. Companies can still get away with treating their workers like shit. But now, the competition can take advantage of that, and consumers will happily listen.
