I think devs are closing that gap as well. Outside of FPS, fewer and fewer games really require that mouse and keyboard. That might be a statement of self selection, where as I get older I get more drawn to slower paced games, but it's nice to see that my preference is being catered to. I agree that Valve is moving the industry forward, and I'm thankful for it.
