The rest of the Bumblebee album is fantastic too. Truly is a shame that Hoon died so young. There's something about their sound that I never found in any other grunge/alt band, and it's sad that they didn't get to explore it much past his death. Thanks for sharing.
I saw them open for the Stones in 2003 or so, Voodoo Lounge tour. Great set, very entertaining. After that I bought Soup and the put it on every day for many weeks. Now I am sad that I will never hear that album again for the first time. Thanks for bringing them back into my consciousness.
I adore Blind Melon! Walk is one of my favorites. Their version of Candy Says is pretty awesome too. Very different from the Velvet Underground's. If you're into Blind Melon and you haven't seen it already, definitely check out Letters from a Porcupine.
