I'm currently rocking the Audio-Technica ATH-M20x. They're pretty good for someone like me, who wants good clear audio but isn't a total audio snob (I say that endearingly!). I'm currently planning on replacing them though, as they're a little heavy after too long, and they get a little hot sometimes.
Sennheiser hd25-1 II, they've done me well so far. Quality well rounded sound with a fairly transparent response for the small profile. Not the cheapest, but a great step up from the Sony MDR-v150s I had for about a decade. Recommend the sonys for anyone who only has £20 to spend!
I'm wearing my Audio-Technica ATH-M50 right now. I don't know much about sound (except I did read, once, that high-end headphones don't really make a difference), but they sound pretty good to me. They're two years old now. No plans to replace them soon.
Yeah, I'm basically using the cheaper version of those. They just don't have a removable cable and I guess are supposed to sound a little worse. I like the sound though. Do you have any problem with the weight of your headphones or is it not something you notice?
They are a bit heavy. I wouldn't wear them on a stroll outdoors. But they're comfortable enough to use at a desk.
