I live in Chicago, and I have yet to utilize this yet. It honestly isn't situated in such a way to be useful to me- for now, it's simply more convenient to use Milwaukee Ave, despite how much traffic it has. I am all for the expansion of this, though. We really need more useful east/west cycle routes.

Is your nickname a reference to that song by Black Flag?

I've only been in Chicago once, for around 5 days. But it seemed to me that public transit was super focused on getting you downtown so this looks like a good thing to me, but I am just speculating.

It's for sure a good thing. The main challenge of Chicago is that it's very large, and certain parts of town are hard to get to from other parts, even by bike. For instance, from where I live, it's very easy to go NW or SE, but due east or farther than about two miles south is a challenge.
