I was going to ask who the artist was, but a quick search seems to reveal an unknown. However, I found some cool ancient roman mosaics.

Search engine oracle. Found it looking for "japanese 19th century prints" in response to a friend who suggested that the Mary Cassatt [1] work appeared to be highly influenced by Japanese art. It's a Goyo [2][3]. I find it sublime.

- In this print, Goyo hoped to achieve an image that conveyed the sense of solidity and volume from his drawings by using line and flat color without recourse to shading.
Cassat also doesn't seem to use shading on hers. Cool. I find it fascinating when people talk about the whys and wherefores of paintings and other creative endeavors. Thanks a lot.
