when has capitalism ever retreated, except locally and conditionally in response to reduced labor supply or fixed capital destruction resulting from a world war or epidemic plague? globalism has reduced even these possibilities, and they were never anything but dire.

i don't expect there will be a "fall" without some serious mass struggle, and the organization to wage that just doesn't exist.
