Rocksmith is a video game that attempts to "teach" you how to play guitar/bass. I can't say much on the results (it apparently varies from person to person), but it is fun to play. Here's a video of the guitar: Here's a bass video: I have issues with it detecting the low E on my bass, but apparently that's not an isolated thing. (obviously not the same song, sorry).

That's awesome! The ability to program your favorite songs to play with is a huge draw. I might have to look into this.
